Daily Luther Sermon Quote - Easter 3 - "For it is the hour of true sorrow,
when I will be to you dead, with all the joy, comfort and assurance you had
from me, and you yourselves will be totally lost. However, my dear little
children, only think of these words and forget not entirely what I now say
to you. It shall not be so forever. A little while I shall be lost and not
be seen."

Thanks for the heads-up, Drew.
Looks good!
I spent my formative years in the Australian city of Brisbane, which was Douglas MacArthur's South West Pacific HQ from mid-1942. MacArthur was also in charge of Australian troops in this theatre, including my grandfather!

I loved Band of Brothers, and if this is of the same caliber, that is production wise, then it stands to be as good.
To "piggy-back" on something you said, I spent my formative years listening to my grandfathers harrowing tales of adventure and dangerous times in Italy during WWII. He was a B-24 bomber pilot.
It seems there is much to be heard about the European theatre in popular media, but very little about the Pacific. After all we faced a more dangerous enemy, and quite frankly a harder battle against the Japanese. That fact may be just the reason why it isn't heralded from the rooftops as much as what happened in Europe.
Anyway, it will be interesting to see this series. Hopefully it will be as good as Band of Brothers.
Thanks for reading my blog; yours is an interesting read as well.
God Bless!
